I can reply to posts, put I can't make a new post. It doesn't show up even when I save it to public. The save to oppo option isn't there. Any idea on how to go about getting my jalop comments out of the gray? Thanks for taking the time to help, I appreciate it.

I'm glad you got approved on Oppo, but a quick note: to get approved on Jalopnik (the front page), you'll have to get approved by a Jalopnik staff writer. Just so ya know.

I don't need to publish on jalopnik, I'd just like my comments to not be gray and buried. Do I need to ask for that on jalopnik? I asked there once before but with my comments being gray and buried I assume no one saw it. I'm still not able to make a new post to oppo but my comments do come through.

Yeah, authorship/approval here and authorship/approval on Jalopnik are different. For example, I'm an author and approved commenter on Oppo, but my FP comments are grey and buried. I asked Travis once, and he said once you comment enough on the FP they start to notice and approve you. So I'm working on that right now:)

Have you tries clearing cache and cookies maybe using a different browser? If none of those works I will send this to Gawker tech.

Just tried clearing cache, and using a different browser. The response is the same. Also, the pictures in the review are misaligned with the text. E.g. If I write something just above the pic (to get the readers to notice something in the pic), then the writing is shown somewhere else. I tried aligning the pics with the editor, but it isn't happening.

Weird, this is a known issue with IE so you're the first to report it on Chrome. Would you mind sending me an email with a screenshot of what you're seeing? This might be related to why you're getting an access denied error. help@gawker.com

Hi Steven. I just clicked the publish on oppositelock button, and the page is now on display. The 401 error is not coming anymore. Since I am unable to capture the error page screenshot, should we leave it at the moment, or should I send the screenshot of the editorial page, where the pics are misaligned with the text?
